Terms of Service, Liability, Returns & Warranty

At Prepwell, we design products intended to be used daily and enjoyed for many years. Each Chef Station and accessory is crafted from carefully selected materials and inspected prior to shipment. If something is not right, we are committed to making it right.

Below are the policies that govern returns, replacements, and warranty coverage.

Product Use & Safety Disclaimer

Prepwell products are designed for use in food preparation environments and should be used with reasonable care and attention.

Users assume responsibility for safe handling of all kitchen tools and components used in conjunction with Prepwell products, including knives and other sharp instruments.

Prepwell is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from improper use, misuse, modification, or failure to follow reasonable safety practices when using the product.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is used in a safe manner and kept out of reach of children when appropriate.


Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Prepwell shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use or inability to use its products.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Loss of use

  • Loss of income or profits

  • Food spoilage or contamination

  • Any other damages resulting from the use of Prepwell products

Prepwell’s total liability related to any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.


Assumption of Risk

By purchasing and using Prepwell products, the customer acknowledges that kitchen environments involve inherent risks, including the use of knives, heat, and other tools.

The customer agrees to use the product responsibly and accepts all risks associated with normal kitchen activity.


Product Care Responsibility

Customers are responsible for following reasonable care practices, including proper cleaning, drying, and maintenance of wood components.

Failure to properly maintain the product may affect performance and longevity and is not considered a manufacturing defect.


No Medical or Safety Guarantee

Prepwell products are intended for culinary use only. They are not medical devices and do not guarantee protection from injury when used alongside knives, cookware, or other kitchen tools.


Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from the use of Prepwell products shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States.


Returns & Exchanges

Defective or Damaged Products

If a product arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage — such as cracks, dents, or significant scratches — please contact us so we can resolve the issue promptly.

Examples of covered defects include:

  • Cracked wood components

  • Structural breaks

  • Significant dents or scratches

  • Manufacturing defects affecting usability

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the affected item

Once verified, Prepwell will:

• Cover the cost of return shipping
• Provide a replacement product or component

In many cases we are able to send a replacement quickly depending on available inventory.

Because our products are produced in small production runs, there may be times when a replacement item is temporarily out of stock. In these cases, a replacement may require 2–3 months until the next production cycle is completed. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we replenish inventory.


30-Day Returns (Unused Items)

If you change your mind after receiving your order, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the product:

  • Has not been used

  • Is in original condition

  • Includes all original packaging and components

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

Return shipping fees:

  • $39 USD — United States

  • $60 USD — International

A 5% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund based on the order value.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the returned item has been received and inspected.

Items that show signs of use, damage, or missing packaging may not be eligible for return.


Limited 2-Year Warranty

All Prepwell products include a limited two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

This warranty covers issues resulting from manufacturing faults during normal household use, including:

  • Structural breaks

  • Glue separation

  • Material failures

If a qualifying defect occurs within two years of purchase, Prepwell will replace the affected component at no cost, including shipping.

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs showing the problem

All warranty claims are subject to review by our team.


What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic changes from regular use

  • Damage caused by misuse or improper care

  • Improper cleaning or maintenance

  • Accidental damage

Wood is a natural material and may develop subtle variations in color and grain over time. These natural characteristics are not considered defects.


Shipping & Duties (International Orders)

Orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees determined by the destination country.

These charges are not included in the order total and are collected by the shipping carrier before delivery. Prepwell does not control these charges and does not receive any portion of these fees.
